A saddening piece of news is coming to the front. On Friday afternoon, a 16-year-old boy died after falling from the eighth storey of a housing society. The administration of Sushma Joynest Housing Society on PR7 Airport Road has been detained by the police. The deceased, Shubham, was reportedly exercising in a construction zone, according to the police. While performing pull-ups, he collapsed. Since no one in the community could confirm his identification, his body could not be identified. The officials started investigating the case after reaching the location. However, they could not find any solid evidence yet as even the security personnel did not have access to any CCTV video. Due to this reason, the cops have not obtained any evidence as of now. The officers are reportedly interrogating the people around the accident area to get any information on the matter. It is no doubt to say that everyone is shocked to learn about the tragic death of the teenager. According to the reports, the family of the victim is blaming the builder for his negligence in the whole matter. Shubham’s mother, Poonam, gave a statement to the police in which she said that the security staff did not inform her about the incident and went on to complain that her son fell due to unsafe construction in the housing society.
As mentioned, Mrs. Poonam is holding the builder accountable for his negligence and irresponsible behavior. The authorities have registered what she had to say in the matter and are investigating their own way. Deepinder Singh Brar, Zirakpur SHO, said that a case under Section 304-A of the IPC has been registered against the management of the housing society. At present, not much information regarding the case has come to the front yet.
Neither the officials nor the family members have released anything that could update about Shubham or this case yet.
