Russell Pearce was born on 23rd June 1947 he was an American far-right politician and was serving as a Republican (GOP) in Arizona State Senate. He rose to national fame as the leader sponson of Arizona SB1070, a contentious anti-illegal Immigration bill voted into law in the year 2010. He was elected president of the Arizona Senate at the beginning of the January of 2011 term. But within 11 months in November, he was ousted and became the first politician in Arizona history to be removed from office.

After that Russell started serving as Vice-Chair of the Arizona Republican Party but in the year 2014, in September he resigned. Talking about his death his death was announced on social media by his family. On Thursday Arizona Senate Republicans spokesperson said that Russell Pearce passed away while surrounded by his Family and friends. Talking about his cause of death, He said that Russell was suffering from a long-term illness and died on 5th January 2023 at his home.

It was introduced by Russell and according to that bill, police officers were allowed to question someone’s immigration status only if there was a reasonable suspicion that the person is undocumented. After some time court barred the law’s requirements which say that immigrants carry registration papers. This also blocked the enforcement of a provision aimed at immigrants which prohibited people from blocking the traffic when offering or seeking day-labor services on streets.
