MP Noor Amin Ahmad, PKR colleague, and incumbent Kangar confirmed his death. He said that the deceased family told him that the latter was hospitalized for a fall. Yes, you read that right. It is coming forward that M. Karupaiya fell down in an event and sustained critical injuries. Taking his health into consideration, he was rushed to the hospital so that he can receive treatment and recover. Despite all the best medical facility care, the staff could not save him and he died in the hospital after fighting for his life for a long time.

Now, the news has become the subject of discussion among netizens. People who have known him are taking to Instagram and Twitter to express their sadness about his sudden and unfortunate demise.

No one seems to believe the fact that Karupaiya has passed away at such a mere age and has left his family and loved ones behind in profound grief. Reports confirm that Karu was present during Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s visit to Kulim and Padang Serai on November 14, 2022.

There, he fell down and sustained some injuries that eventually turned out to be fatal. Despite being taken to the hospital, he could not survive. Karupaiya, a former Army officer, won Padang Serai in the 2018 election. The Election Commission must restart the process if a candidate passes away between nomination and voting, in accordance with Article 11(6) of the Elections (Conduct of Elections) Regulations 1981.
