Archers Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das added another feather in their hat in the Indian mixed recurve team. Both the archers have registered a gold medal in the competition with their exemplary performance. According to the latest performance, the competition held in Paris where India ranks the first position surpassing the Netherlands in the final round took place on Sunday. The recurve archery mixed team of Deepika and Atanu showcased their incredible performance against the Sjef van den Berge and Gabriela Schloessar of the Netherland team. The team fetched a third gold medal for the team with a score of 5-3.
In an exclusive interview both the archers express their happiness of winning the gold for the nation. For all the unversed the ultimate duo is a real-life couple who tied in the knots last year on30th June 2020 after a love relationship of two years. The pair is going to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. The entire country is rejoicing this pristine victory. Along with that Atanu also shares his feelings for his relationship, the archer said “it feels like we are made for each other”. He further says whenever they come to the competition they just considered each other as a competitor and support each other.
On another Deepika who used to be the captain of the women archery team and led her team for the World Cup. They achieved a gold medal in the World Tournament. She also said in interaction during an interview that “it feels happy.” Well, Deepika has hit the hat-trick by fetching the third gold medal for the country. The archers have enlisted their names in some of the most top-notch archers of the world with this victory.
Besides, the Olympic Qualification had been missed by the players but they fill the void left by this amazing victory. Prior to this, Deepika Kumar arrived along with Ankita Bhakat as a pair in the Indian women’s recurve team. Komalika Bari was also part of the team when they defeated Mexico and won Gold in level three of Paris while dominated the tournament in France on Sunday. Deepika stands for the Gold Medal for the second consecutive time in the same year where the teams won a total of 6 Gold medals since 2011. Deepika competes in all the contests.
