DV Sadananda Gowda, the former Karnataka chief minister, has issued a clarification regarding a scandalous viral video that has surfaced on the internet. The Indian politician claimed that the video was “deep fake” and it is created to malign his reputation by his adversaries. Mr Gowda took to his Twitter and wrote that a morphed video of him has been circulating on social media but he would like everyone to inform that the video doesn’t feature him and is solely created by his opponents to malign his impeccable image. The tweet was made on September 19, 2021.
Mr Gowda shared another tweet where he wrote that he has lodged a complaint with the cyber police to detain the involved parties on an immediate basis. Later, he urged everyone to directly message him if anyone forwards or uploads the controversial video. The union minister also shared that as per the law anyone who will be seen sharing the said video on any platform will be punishable. Talking about the matter, the scandalous video started surfacing on social media on Sunday afternoon. The three minutes and 42 seconds long video featured the minister having a scandalous conversation with a woman.
DV Sadananda Gowda Fake Video
The video got viral as soon as it was uploaded. Mr Gowda accused Malefactors of trying to ruin his image. He added that the parties who were upset with the rise of his political front have brought this deeply fake video out for his fall and the fact that the fake video has gone viral upsets him. However, the minister has filed a complaint and has been demanding the arrest of the guilty who was involved in the matter immediately. The CM’s counsel had filed the said complaint with Narcotics Police Station and Cyber Crime Offences, North division in Bengaluru.
The complaint read that the minister has learnt that a fake, fabricated, and concocted video has been uploaded on social media that features DV Sadananda Gowda. It further read that the only intention of the video posting was to malign his clean image in politics font. The video has been getting shared on Whatsapp, Facebook, and other social networking sites, the statement read. Now, they have been demanding severe punishment for the malefactor who has tried to ruin his image in public. D.V Sadananda Gowda had served as the Minister of Chemical and Fertilizers from 2018 to 2021 in the second mode ministry while he also served as the 20th chief minister of Karnataka.
