People offering namaz at Sonipat mosque attacked by Mob; FIR is done on 18, probe on
Mosque, or masjid, where people performing prayers got brutally beaten. On late Sunday, at Haryana’s Sonipat, people offering namaz during Ramadan were attacked and the mosque was deliberately damaged by a mob. Well, Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection, self-improvement, and devotion to Allah. During this period, people didn’t expect this tragedy will happen. Their sentiments got hurt as they are found to be innocent.
The environment got very tense in Sandal Kalan village of Haryana’s Sonipat after this situation. Around 20 people illegally vandalised a mosque and people offering namaz there on Sunday also got attacked. According to the sources, the attackers were from the same village and were said to be locals. The mosque is said to be built by the community in the village. Around 15-20, armed men attacked people who were offering Ramadan prayers in that mosque.
Mob Attacks People Offering Namaz
Pictures of the attackers are coming up on social media. Attackers are roaming the streets of the village and carrying bamboo sticks to attack people in their hands. They didn’t even show any mercy on women and children. Yet, it is not clear, what was the reason behind the incident. Police have initiated to investigate the problem and an FIR has been registered against 19 people, who were involved in this incident. Around nine or more people have been injured in the incident, namely Ali Taab, Nargis, Ansar Ali, Faryad, Sabir Ali, Alamir, Istaeq Ali, Julekha, and Jarina.
Several injured people were admitted to the nearby civil Hospital of Sonipat for treatment. Sonipat is said to be a major industrial area and the police are doing their best to investigate the matter seriously. The Police force has been deployed in the village to ensure a law and order situation. The People of the village are in shock by the incident and feel helpless. They are in the hope justice would prevail.
On social media, people are expressing their anger through by tweeting and sharing their thoughts on this incident. We all should take a stand for these innocent people by any means, as keeping silent is not a solution, in the hope that in future these kinds of incidents do not happen again. Police, too, should take strict action against the attackers, so that they get punished in court by a powerful punishment.
