A saddening piece of news is coming forward where it is reported that rapper Jay Da Youngan has died at the age of 24. Reports claim that Jay Da was killed in a shooting that took place in his hometown of Bogalusa, Lousiana, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. The rapper was not the only individual to get killed in the incident as two other individuals also get injured. The news has surfaced all over the internet and shaken many of his fans to the core. According to reports, the fatal shooting happened inside a home on the 600 block of Superior Avenue. The details of the incident were shared on a Facebook post from the Bogalusa Police Department on Wednesday evening. The post stated that on July 27th, at 5:50 PM, the Bogalusa Police Department received a call of a shooting in the 600 block of Superior Avenue. It was further written that officers responded and found that one victim had been transported by POV to Our Lady of the Angels Emergency Room.
Besides, another victim, still on scene, was critically wounded and was treated on scene by EMS, then transported to OLA ER. It was around 11 PM on Wednesday when the police department posted an update confirming the rapper’s death. It said that they can now identify the victims as Javorious Scott aka JayDaYougan and close family member Kenyatta Scott Sr. They also confirmed that Javorious Scott has died as a result of his injuries.
It is reported that Kenyatta Scott Jr has been transported to another facility and it has been told that he is in stable condition. Kenyatta Scott Sr. is thought to be the 24-year-old’s father. The police statement added that Bogalusa detectives are currently conducting interviews and working on leads. Talking about the rapper, he rose to popularity in the mid to late 2010s. The 24-year-old rapper was best known for his tracks titled Opps, Elimination, and 23 Island.
Jay Da’s latest EP was titled All Is Well which was released in March 2022. For a series of legal problems, the rapper also made headlines. In June 2021, he was released from prison after serving seven months on charges of possession of a firearm while under indictment for a crime.
