A 30 years old woman was arrested at Dhaka International airport under the charges of smuggling drugs into Bangladesh and is all set to be executed on Friday. The news about this incident was covered by many local media portals and thus it has made multiple headlines on global media portals.
The accused woman has been identified as 30 years old Lesedi Molapisi. The accused woman is a native Ramotswa in Botswana. According to the reports, Lesedi was arrested by the officials after she arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal international airport in Dhaka. Reports have further stated that she arrived in Bangladesh on a Qatar Airways flight from South Africa Which had a layover in Doha. She was held at the customs department, and the officials seized around 3kg of Heroin from her. She was found with a very large quantity of drugs and she was arrested in no time by the Bangladeshi authorities.

Bangladeshi authorities stated that they had information that a large amount of cocaine is smuggled into their country and thus they were quite active in the immigration area. Although it was the narcotics department that confirmed that the seized drug is heroin, not cocaine.
