Taking in consideration the effects and damage of the harmful Coronavirus in India as well as all over the world, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed all the ongoing exams within the country as well as outside the country India that were scheduled within the days of 19th to 31st of March. The exams will be rescheduled thereafter the end of March after analysing the situation and the condition of the whole country as stated by the CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi. He also added that all the ongoing evaluation and checking will be suspended during the period of break.
During the discussion over the board examinations of the CBSE board, the National Testing Agency has also postponed the Joint Entrance Exam JEE- Main 2020 held for the admissions of the engineering institutions and colleges of India including the government-aided IIT’s in view of the Coronavirus.
The examination was earlier scheduled on 15th April 2020 but now it has been postponed and the further new dates of the examination would be declared after the CBSE boards have declared the dates for the remaining boards examinations. It would be done so as to avoid the clash between the dates of the examination in the country as well as the preparation of the students should not be wasted.
The number of the patients influenced by the novel coronavirus has increased to 164 as on Thursday. The fresh new 14 cases were reported from various parts of the country according to the Health Ministry. The cases include 25 foreign nationals being 17 from Italy, 3 from the Philippines, one each belonging to Canada, United Kingdom, Indonesia and Singapore. The students have also been confused because the outbreak of the virus has happened globally and which has also affected the examination schedule of the country that has not been disturbed since a decade in the country.
