Although due to the COVID spread, not many weddings took place this year except for some celebrities who tied a knot in an intricate manner the people could enjoy the latest movie of two very talented and popular faces from the Bollywood industry, Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam which is soon going to hit the Netflix platform. The movie has been titled ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’ which is a romantic comedy and would feature many other artists as well. The official announcement has been done last year only when the shoots began and luckily it got completed by the end of the year 2019.
The rom-com picture has been shot under the direction of Puneet Khanna who is also debuting from the film whereas it has produced by Vinod Bachchan. Being created under Soumya Productions the whole shooting happened in India only where most of the scenes shot in the capital city, Delhi alongside Noida, Manali, and, Ghaziabad. The principal photography started off in September and the makers decided to release it some months earlier but the coronavirus outbreak delayed its release.
Ginny Weds Sunny Star Cast:
The Hindi drama movie features Vicky Donor fame Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey who was recently seen in the Deepika starrer ‘Chhapak’, in the leading roles of Ginny Gill and Sunny Malhotra respectively. While Mansi Sharma would be seen in the character of Manpreet. Apart from the cast, The complete music of the film has given by Payal Dev who recently released a wedding song along with the singer, Dev Negi named ‘LOL’ with the partnership of Sony Music India.
Ginny Weds Sunny Release Date:
Despite being announced to be released earlier, the picture got postponed due to the obvious reason and now it has been scheduled to premiere on Netflix on 9th October 2020. Prior to the declaration, a short teaser has been released as well where it was shown that the lead character ‘Ginny’ wants to live her life independently and on her own terms but she witnesses some changes when she gets introduced to a boy ‘Sunny’ by her parents who desires of their wedding.
The story moves forward as Ginny blatantly rejects the said guy but Sunny on another hand determines to make the girl fall in love with her and that’s how the story unfolds. The story looks cliche but the viewers are expecting a lot from the leads in terms of acting so it would really be fascinating to see how well the movie works on the digital platform Netflix.
