Based on the South Korean popular film titled “Blind”, Nayanthara’s newly released film “Netrikann” is winning the audience’s hearts. The lady superstar has showcased her brilliant acting skills in the film. As mentioned, the picture is solely based on the Korean film and portrays the same storyline either. However, the makers have done some slight changes that somewhat differentiates the said films from one another. Well, the picture has gotten released on 13th August 2021 on Disney+Hotstar and has been gaining quite positive responses from the viewers all around.

Directed by Milind Rau, the Tamil film features Nayanthara as the main protagonist while it also features Ajmal Ameer, K Manikandan, and Sharan Shakthi like stars in other crucial roles as well. Netrikann is a remake of the 2011 released South Korean crime thriller film Blind. The execution of the story and the way of storytelling is quite impressive and will surely not disappoint the viewers.

Unlike other crime thrillers, the Indian Tamil movie doesn’t hold any suspense as the identity of the killer is revealed in the beginning only. As the story continues, how they will manage to catch the culprit while getting help from a witness who is blind is shown. Besides, the character played by Nayanthara is beyond impressive as she portrays the character of the blind woman outstandingly while her no glossy makeup look also makes the character stood out. Undoubtedly, the first half of the film is extremely engaging and it depicts the true thrill throughout and also manages to hook the viewers.
However, by the end of the first half, the pace of the film gets slower and it seems like the makers are dragging the story. The investigation doesn’t look as thrilling as expected considering they are after an obsessed serial killer. Moreover, it won’t be wrong to state that Netrikann comes out clean on the expectation and it is definitely worth your time. Talking about the ratings, the film has gotten 6.2 stars out of 10 from IMDb while most of the other critics have rated the thriller film a solid 3.5 out of 5.
