Colt Grey’s Family History Under Public Scrutiny After Tragic School Shooting

In the wake of the horrific firearm event at Apalachee High School, which claimed the lives of four innocent people, many turned to social media to learn more about Colt Grey, the suspect,’s parents’ race and other data.

@MatthewRyan10h1 on Twitter shared a screenshot of what looked to be a Google search. Colt Grey stated in his letter that it’s possible they learned something about his race.

There was a picture of a Black boy in the screenshot. In a similar vein, another user acknowledged that the man in the picture was unquestionably Colt Grey in a remark.

However, the original poster did add “may” and said he was keeping an open mind.

Colt Gray’s Mother Was In Trouble As Per His Aunt’s Now-Deleted Facebook Post 

Colt Gray’s aunt shared the devastating news of the weapon incident on her Facebook wall after it happened. But now it seems like the post has been removed.

She made it clear that she wouldn’t treat other parents or families that are experiencing this tragedy in the other way with disrespect. They did not deserve this, she continued.

In addition, Annie mentioned in the comments that Marcee Grey, Colt Gray’s mother, was released from jail when her parents posted bail and spent several months in rehab.

After that, Colt’s father picked her up without Marcee’s mother’s consent, and the two of them spent a few weeks together. Issues surfaced, and she went back to her parents’ place.

Colt Gray’s mom Marcee posted the song video for Blink-182’s song “Stay Together For the Kids” on YouTube in November 2022.

She acknowledged in her letter that it became tough to recognize from the outside searching in. Her prolonged circle of relatives, together with her husband’s, was at a loss for words as to why she stayed for one of these long times.

At least nine people were injured in the firearm incident, which claimed the lives of two teachers and two students. At a news conference, the suspect’s name was disclosed by the GBI.
