As per the news and information, She was arrested in the early morning of Saturday 25 March 2023, and accused with a charge of trafficking fentanyl. The investigation began after a call received by the police and this is said in a statement by Sanford police spokesperson Bianca Gillett. The investigators found nothing at the incident scene but they collected some shreds of evidence over a similar car with no taillight on. The police observed a cannabis blunt in plain sight and then later a search they discovered some white powder which became verified as fentanyl. The investigation is ongoing and police are continuing their search for more evidence.

Police collected around eight grams of white powder which is double the amount to qualify as trafficking and after the complete examination and tests, it results come positive for fentanyl. Police shared that fentanyl is discovered in large amounts and this can be lethal, so it is very dangerous in her occupation to be in possession of that much fentanyl. Pearson is arrested for keeping it and was immediately placed on administrative leave pending the results of the investigation but there is no evidence of campus involvement, so they are close with the police.

She is a teacher in Seminole County with an experience of 16 years and currently teaching at the Seminole High School ninth Grade center. Police also shared that the fentanyl is not brought to campus and no kind of drug transaction was discovered on campus.
