It was shown that a group of Cincinnati police officers surrounded him outside a building after an unidentified person falsely reported him as a threat. According to reports, the YouTuber has been swatted, the criminal harassment tactic of deceiving an emergency service into sending a police or emergency service response team to another person’s address. Such kinds of acts often occur when people send in false reports of serious illegal offenses including hostage situations, murders, and bomb threats. IShowSpeed was seen surrounded by law enforcement so it is no doubt to say that he was swatted.

A video has gone viral that shows the content creator looking confused as he continuously swore he did not do anything to get involved in such kind of situation. A police officer approached the videographer and ordered him to cease filming the content creator while the situation was being addressed. On YouTube, Darren Watkins Jr, better known online as IShowSpeed, has amassed more than 10.35 million subscribers. The native of Cincinnati, Ohio, is well known for his quirky and irascible character.
