The case which was puzzled for the detectives was finally solved after 48 years. According to her sisters back then in the conference said that  Knowing her killer is no longer on this earth and cannot kill anymore brings us Somewhat of closure. yes, Sharron Prior killer died at the age of 36.

According to the reports, Shannon Prior was found dead in 1975 later three days after being disappeared from Pizza Parlour near her home in Montreal’s Pointe ST Charles Neighbourhood when she was setting out with her friends in that place. Sharron was last seen there and after three days her body was found in a wooded area of Longuiel on Montreals South Shore.

Sharron Prior case was kept over because of lack and insufficient evidence to prove that Roamanie was the killer of Sharron. Romine who was dead at the age of 36 killer of Sharron was living in Montreal at that time. He had a long criminal record and went to jail in  Montreal and West Virginia including at least one rape conviction.

The DNA was found on the Romanie shirts used to restrain and he matched the description of a suspect and his car matched tire tracks found at the scene where Sharon’s body was recovered. Investigators also took Romnie’s brothers to get their DNA so they match the genetic material recovered from the crime scene.

Investigator get the DNA from Roamanie’s body when he died and matched it with the DNA left at the crime scene and confirmed Romanie was the Killer. Bourgoin said the advances in DNA testing technology and growing databases provide potent tools for law enforcement to use to solve cold cases. Finally, Sharron Pior A Montreal teen who was found dead in 1975 was raped and killed by Franklin Roamanie an American from West Virginia case was solved after 48 years with the help of DNA tests and techniques.

Prior’s two younger sisters, Doreen and Moreen, grew emotional as they described Sharron at a news conference on Tuesday. We have hope that there are lots of cases that we will able to solve or at least find new leads with the tools we have,” she said. Those cases can have a happy ending, like Sharron Priors. Her family expressed their love and sent condolence to her You may never have come back to our house on Congregation Street that weekend. But you have never left our hearts and you never will.
