Sudan Crisis: We Are In Touch With Stranded Indians, Says Davanagere DM

It is shared that Sudan suffering from the problem of crisis and the families of those people who are stranded in the violence-hit which took place in Sudan on Saturday 15 April 2023. The Indian-Sudan people were living there for more than 150 years and other expatriate Indian community members are working there as professionals in key sectors of the Sudanese economy. However, some Indian people were working in the UN missions and some in the international organization. As per the reports, around 185 people died and more than 1800 people were injured in the fight that erupted in Sudan on Saturday. The Karnataka government, Davanagrere DM Shivanand Kapashi also shared we know that there are still 39 people stuck in the war Sudan-hit and also shared a brief message related to this incident. It is shared that Albert Augustine, a retired Indian soldier passed away when a stray bullet hit him on 15 April. Mansi Sheth’s father was stuck in the clashes between the Sudan army and a rival parliamentary force. Her father was in Sudan and went there for a business trip and fix to come back on 15 April but he didn’t reach India. There are still many people stuck and their families are requesting to take them back to India.
