According to the latest reports, Colors Cineplex is coming along with 99 Songs World Television Premiere. The film is one of the latest releases of the ongoing year and along with that, the movie has bankrolled under the production banner of Academy Award Winner A.R Rahman. Well, this is considered as another vital reason behind the popularity of the film.
The movie screened at the 24th Busan International Film Festival took place in South Korea on 9th December 2021. Later, digitally released on giant streaming site Netflix on 16 April 2021 in all of its versions. The story of the movie is also penned by A. R Rahman in 2011. narrating a sensual story of the art and self-discovery of an artist. It is narrating the story of a struggling singer who has the desire to become the most successful music composer.
After Rahman finishing with the writing of the movie and Eros International announced to finance the movie back in August 2013, but later the production banner took the step back. Later, Rahman announced that the movie would release under his Production banner YM Movies. 99 Songs helmed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. It is edited by Akshay Mehta while the cinematography of the movie is done by Tanay Satam.
Along with Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas, 99 Songs cast Aditya Seal, Lisa Ray, and Manisha Koirala appearing in the prominent roles.
