John Mayer one of the prominent band members of Dead and Company recently cancelled his concert on 6 July 2022, Wednesday after he learnt that his father named Richard Mayer suffered a medical emergency due to which he got hospitalized. Dead and Company was about to perform at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs when he received information about his father after which he cancelled the concert and rushed to his father in the hospital. However the show has been cancelled by the band but all the members of the band including Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, John, Oteil Burbridge, and Jeff Chimenti posted on the official account of the band that claimed that all the people who have booked their tickets for the show will get a full refund. Along with that the band also announced a complimentary full replay of the Friday night. John released the information through his official IG account wherein the 44 years disclosed the medical emergency his father suffered lately.
The IG story informed that he learnt that his father suffered a medical emergency this morning due to which he rushed to ER where his health condition has been examined and received treatment. He further informed that now his father’s condition is stable but he will continue to undergo some medical procedures because which the musician has to stay in NYC and couldn’t attend tonight’s show. Along with that, another Tweet made by the band informed the cancellation of the show and also informed us that the audience will get a complete refund along with a complimentary replay of Friday night.
The Tweet further informed all the fans that the further tours will remain unaffected. However, the major cause of the medical emergency is still unknown. It is being expected that the singer will inform about the cause as and when he will get time to update. At the time John canceled the show his father is 94 years of his and was in critical condition.
