According to reports, 20 former students of Georgia’s Darlington School have claimed that they were sexually abused by a former teacher named Roger Stifflemire years ago and have filed lawsuits for $345 million over the same. These twenty men call themselves the Darlington Survivors. Let us add that the suit is going after the insurance companies that covered the swanky school, the Atlanta Journal-Constitutional reported. The accusations of abuse first appeared in a 2017 story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, which asserted that the school was aware of the abuse at the time but chose not to take any action.

The former students, who identify as the “Darlington Survivors,” originally reached a settlement with the accused Roger Stifflemire, according to which he was not required to pay the pupils any money.
