Former Dominican Priest and Aducator Passed Away

Father Enrico D. Gonzales was born in Luzon, Philippines in 1955 and joined the Dominican Order in Manila in 1976. Father Gonzales was ordained to the priesthood in 1982 and earned his doctorate in Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Father Gonzales taught systematic theology and ecumenism at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology in Berkeley, California, where he served as a faculty member, dean, and most recently, as academic dean emeritus. He was admired and respected by his colleagues and students for his scholarly work, deep faith, and gentle and compassionate spirit.
