Rapper Tay K was found guilty of murder and given a 55-year prison term. This occurs after the passing of Ethan Walker, age 21. Since then, he has turned to social media to argue that if it weren’t for his race, he would not have received the lengthy prison sentence. The rapper was found guilty of murder by a Tarrant County, Texas jury in July 2019. He was also charged with taking part in the murder of Walker during a home invasion. When the incident took place, Tay K, whose true name is Taymore McIntyre, was just 16 years old.
Why Did Tay K Sentence For 55 Years In Jail?
He was handed two more 13-year jail terms for two other charges of robbery in addition to a lengthy prison term. He was also given a 30-year sentence for one act of aggravated robbery. The rapper has also been assessed a $21,000 total fine. In the meantime, Tay K stated on Twitter that if he had been a “little white boy,” he would not have received a 55-year sentence.
He wrote on Twitter that read “I believe if I were a little white kid, they wouldn’t have sentenced me to 55 years for a crime I was accused of having the least amount of involvement in when I was 16; they would have given me rehabilitation on the grounds that my mind wasn’t completely formed at the time. In a different tweet, he asserted that, in contrast to him and his friend and co-defendant Pimpyz, who allegedly received a 30-year prison term, one of his co-defendants, a white young girl who was 16 at the time, was given 10 years of probation.
