Vikramjit Singh, Youth Akali leader, has gotten killed in the broad daylight in Sector 71 Mohali. The incident has sparked discussion yet again on the safety of the people as Vikramjit was chased first and then shot which resulted in his death on the spot. The horrifying thing is that it all happened in the morning on Saturday. After Vikramjit’s death, the gang of Devinder Bambiha took to his Facebook account and took responsibility for the murder. In a Facebook post, the gang accused the Akali leader of being the secret informer of their rival gang named Lawrence Bishnoi.
The movie-style killing took place on August 7, 2021, at 11 AM. Vikramjit Singh was heading to his car described as a Toyota Fortuner SUV when he witnessed two mysterious men standing in front of him with pistols in their hands. They pointed their respective guns and opened the fire. The 32-years-old tried to save himself by throwing an object at one of those men and started running. However, the murderers chased him until they shot him dead.
Reportedly, Vikramjit had gone to meet a property dealer in the market there. The entire murder that happened in daylight got caught in CCTV installed in the area. Known as Vicky Middukhera, Vikramjit was the ex-president of Students Organizations of India (SOI) which is a student wing in Punjab University. According to the police, four suspects with weapons arrived at the parking in white colour Hyundai i-20 car.
However, only two of them stepped out of the car while the other two remained in the car only. The moment Middukhera reached his car, the two culprits went after him. The officials stated that Vikramjit got a total of 9 bullets which resulted in his on the spot death. SSP Satinder Singh had released a statement where they have stated that a thorough investigation has gotten started in the murder case. They are filtering all the CCTV footage in the entire market to collect strong evidence against the murderers.
So far, the police have shown their suspicion on Gaurav Patial alias Lucky who belongs to the Bambiha gang. It is reported that Gaurav has landed in Armenia. As mentioned above, the Bambiha gang has taken the responsibility where they have stated that Vikramjit was quite close to their rival gang and they have warned the victim for the same many times. Though some sources state that the same men murdered Vicky who was involved in the killing of Youth Congress Leader Sukhmeet Singh.
